I just looked at the blog and realized I haven't written anything about how much I love The Mothman Prophecies yet. Yes, I mentioned the movie as one of the driving forces behind the creation of this storyline, but the book is far, far better. It makes the paranormal make sense, at least up to a certain point. A certain very disturbing point, from some perspectives.
So now it looks like we have two sets of forces to deal with: inter- and intra-reality beings. Naturally, there are relationships there, so the two groups team up or fight each other as the situation changes, and our heroes have allies among both types. And enemies.
New story toys: MNLs (Meandering Nocturnal Lights, aka UFOs), Garuda/Mothman/angel/demon-lookin' things, fake aliens & nonhuman MIBs, and "vampire" animal killings.
Oh, and EM interference, particularly static. There's gonna be a whole section called the Summer of Static, in which we meet our first real recurring nemesis character.
